Last week I purchsed from Apple direct an MacAir and a USB superdrive - the MacAir does not support or recognize the superdrive. What's the problem?

I only have one thing to say about this Product if you already have and Apple Computer desk top or lap top that has and internal CD drive this product will not and does not work with it. This to me is a problem, if your internal drive has problems like common dust getting into the drive causing it not to work Compressed Air is the Answer, However this doesn't always work,so your STUCK. Takin it to the Apple Store will run you about $300.00 to clean and repair if needed. Isn't that nice? The other alternative is to buy a cheap CD Burner which will work, and it will because many are not Prohibitive from working on your Computer. Apple has made sure its new drive will not work on later Apple Computers with internal drives, and it is simple WHY, and it is Called MONEY for repairs or just buying a newer Model. I guess this is their right, but it leaves you in a mix if you can't afford the Repair or a new Apple, but of course compressed Air might work or just saying a payer might, but you are just out of luck.
